Brewster Lodge Construction Updates

A new set of pictures is in! Things are progressing very nicely.

With the record breaking snow amounts dumped on camp this winter (see the Lodge photos and note the snowblower on the roof), it was difficult to get the project going in February as planned. However, Barry and his crew have been working at a speedy pace and are currently working on the roof shingles, electric and a few other projects within. The photos show the building from down at the lodge, from up on the field and from over at Chief's, so you can get a good sense of the structures overall size and feel. It looks to be a beautiful start!

At this point the foundation is in and capped. We expect the contractor to begin the frame construction in February. Look for more photos on this page over the next few months.

A Historic BRC building has come down, after years of service to our community. The John Phister Cowin Infirmary was brought down and hauled off in sections this week. The large pine behind the building was dropped to clear the site for the new Brewster Lodge construction.

The Health Lodge has been gutted. About 12 trees were dropped in preparation for the road to go in with a few more still to come down.. The crabapple tree that was growing right off the porch has been relocated further down the hillside and will hopefully survive it's relocation. Stay tuned for photos of the Health Lodge coming down.
