Dear Mom & Dad...

Dear Mom & Dad,

Camp is a blast!  There are so many activities here!  The past couple of days have been a little rainy, but I have managed to have fun.

On Tuesday, I earned my strokes part to my Junior Kayaking badge.  Nothing really happened on Wednesday.  Thursday had a lot of rain, so I did Woodshop.  We built with Wee Blocks ( a fun game where you build a fortress with blocks) and Legos.  On Friday I got more closer to getting my Knife Rights.  That night I went fishing.  On Saturday I earned my base running and knowledge to my Junior Baseball badge.  The Evening Activities have been Orb (a game where you tag people with a yarn ball….sort of like Sharks and Minnows), Bingo, and Movie Night…..we watched Star Wars: Empire Strikes Again.  Two Nights ago we did the “CampFire.”  It is when most of the cabins do skits.  The staff did a skit about robots who took over the world. We did a skit about an American Idol contestant who sings, “New York, New York.”  Last night we did “Trust Falls.”  It is where you jump off the Birch Rock.  Today I went on two mini-Field Trips.  The first was to the Crooked River.  The river has awesome rapids and we took a swim.  The second trip I took was to Norway Country Club to do golfing.

Guess what?  I got Super Camper of the day!  And our cabin won runner-up for cleanliness.

I want to extend really, really, really badly.  I can go to my (summer) cabin anytime, but I must treasure Birch Rock.

Love,

Your Son T (Cubs Camper, age 9)
