![]() Our aim at Birch Rock is to provide a program that supports the needs and interests of the campers. A highly structured and diverse program schedule is designed daily by age group to provide each camper an opportunity to listen, communicate and learn while building confidence and lifelong learning skills. We divide the day into four activity periods. American Red Cross Instructional Swim is required daily as we feel water safety and competent swimming is essential to a boy's overall development. Additionally, the long distance swim program challenges the boys to complete swims of endurance - Duck (width), Loon (width x2), Seal (length) and Whale (perimeter of Lake McWain). Records of achievement and personal triumph are noted on activity charts and shared with the rest of the camp community daily. |
